Chamber member Angela Ward from Angela Ward Media is running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 19 April 2020 in memory of her daughter, Naomi, who would have been 21 next year. Naomi died from the childhood cancer Neuroblastoma on 1 January 2004, less than a month after her 4th birthday, so Angela has decided to raise money for the charity Neuroblastoma UK, which is doing a huge amount to fund vital research, raise awareness and care for families.

Open Doors is a workplace based project run by East Sussex County Council and supported by Skills East Sussex. School pupils across East Sussex are given the chance to visit workplaces and hear from employers about the range of jobs that you offer, and the career paths into them.
This gives pupils essential knowledge and experience to shape their own futures and provides employers with the opportunity to engage with young people who could form their future workforce. Businesses have offered apprenticeships, work experience placements, and built relationships with local schools.
